Superintendent James Andrews Jr. & Lady K Andrews
Pastor James W. Andrews Jr. Born in Blytheville Arkansas, Pastor Andrews grew up in Chicago, IL where he went on to attend Malcolm X Junior College. Before coming to the Lord, he served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, and he received the Purple Heart Award for his outstanding service.
In 1979 Pastor Andrews accepted the gift of salvation under the ministry of Pastor, Dr. Leonard Brooks Jr. He served in many facets of the church including Local and District Sunday School Superintendent, and he was elevated to Assistant Pastor of Greater Wayside Temple.
On January 28, 2006 the late, Bishop Milton L. Hall Sr. installed Elder James Andrews as Pastor of Greater Wayside Temple COGIC. After the passing of Superintendent Leroy Sutton in early 2014, Pastor Andrews was installed on March 23rd, 2014 as the Superintendent of the E.A. McNeely District by Bishop Blade and later appointed as an Administrative Assist for Historic Indiana's 1st Jurisdiction.
Superintendent and Lady K Andrews endeavor to build upon the foundation that has been laid with the help and guidance of the Lord and with the prayers and support of our district. "We work better together." - Superintendent James Andrews Jr. continues to serve God and God’s people. He continually admonishes the Saints to live Holy, and free from sin. He has a vision that Greater Wayside be the body of Christ which can be used by God.
Missionary Kathy K. Andrews - Born in Union City TN, she later moved to Elkhart, IN where she met and married Pastor James W. Andrews Jr. In 1979 she gave her life to Christ, in 1979, and immediately became an active member in the church. Lady Andrews has served in many capacities of the church and has held several district positions. God truly used her life to be a light to other young women while serving as the Local Y.W.C.C. President, under the leadership of Dr. Superintendent Leonard and Missionary Ora Lee Brooks.
In January 2006, Elder James Andrews Jr. was appointed Pastor of Greater Wayside Temple C.O.G.I.C. In true Lady Andrews fashion, she accepted the opportunity to serve and is working diligently by hi side, aiding him with the help of the Lord. Together they have 5 children, Angie (Kyle) Torrain, Todd Massey, LaTosha (William) Bonds, Jennifer and Kassandra Andrews, along with 7 grandchildren. Lady Andrews loves the Lord. She recognizes the power of praising God in the midst of the storm.

Superintendent Dr. Leonard Brooks Jr & Mother Ora Lee Brooks (1976-2005)
After the passing of Pastor Lockhart on August 19th, 1975 Wayside went without a Pastor until Elder Brooks was appointed as Pastor in April of 1976 by Bishop W.O. Blakely. Pastor Brooks and Mother Brooks were known for their anointed teaching and great faith in God. They carried on the legacy of love and holiness during their years as the leaders of our church. During their time in ministry Pastor Brooks became the Superintendent of the Joshua District. Pastor Brooks established the Youth Church at Greater Wayside and appointed Elder Donnie Massey as the first Youth Pastor. After faithfully serving the Lord and his people Mother Brooks went home to be with the Lord in 2005. Due to failling health Pastor Brooks was emeritized in 2005.

After relocating to a rented house in Elkhart, Pastor Lockhart again moved the church to a house of worship on Morgan Street off State Road 19 in 1959. Mother Lockhart used her first $100 in savings for the foundation of the church. Wayside became the 3rd COGIC church in Elkhart. Many saints from around the area went to fellowship at Wayside. Under Pastor and Mother Lockhart Wayside was a church known for the love of God and Spirit of God dealing among the saints in power.
